My Experience with Islam at (Asia Pacific University )
As a scholarship student at Asia Pacific University (APU) in Malaysia, I wanted to share my personal experience with the Islamic atmosphere at the university and the surrounding community. Malaysia is a predominantly Muslim country, making it an ideal environment for Muslim students from all over the world.
- Supportive Islamic Atmosphere
One of the things I noticed right away when I arrived at the university was the surrounding Islamic atmosphere. Malaysia is a country that embraces diversity while maintaining a clear Islamic character that is reflected in daily life. This helped me adapt quickly and feel a sense of belonging. - Religious Facilities on Campus
APU provides several facilities dedicated to Muslim students:
- The University Mosque: Located on campus, it offers a comfortable space for prayer.
- Designated Prayer Rooms: These rooms are spread throughout the university buildings, making it easy to pray at the designated times.
- Religious Events: The university regularly organizes lectures and religious classes to educate students and enhance their spirituality.
- Islamic Life in Malaysia
As an Islamic country, Malaysia offers many advantages for Muslim students:
- Halal Food: All restaurants on and off-campus offer halal food, which makes dining easy and convenient.
- Nearby Mosques: There are many mosques near the university where you can pray or attend Friday sermons.
- Islamic Holidays: Celebrations like Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha are observed in a special way, with wide participation from the community.
- Islamic Activities
The university supports Muslim students through various activities:
- Islamic Clubs: Such as the Muslim Students’ Club, which organizes religious and cultural events.
- Volunteering: There are opportunities to participate in charitable activities that benefit the local community.
- My Personal Experience
Having a supportive Islamic environment has had a positive impact on my academic and personal life. I was able to grow spiritually and meet peers who share the same values and beliefs.
